Chennai: MGM Healthcare, a super-specialty quaternary care hospital in the heart of the city, today announced the signing of an MoU with Maitreya Medicare Private Limited to provide specialised assistance and necessary medical services to its hospital arm, Maitreya Multi Superspeciality Hospital in Surat.

The MoU will provide Maitreya Medicare with specific and specialised Cardiology/Cardiothoracic and Heart-Lung Transplant services to help its patients with serious cardiac ailments. The agreement will also strengthen its earlier acts to collaborate and expand Maitreya Medicare Private Limited’s existing facilities and provide advanced medical services to the people of Surat.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Manian, CEO, MGM Healthcare, said, “We are extremely delighted to have signed an MoU with an aspiring healthcare institution like Maitreya Medicare. Their determination to provide advanced medical care to the people of Surat, especially for those with serious and critical cardiac-related conditions, cannot be applauded enough. MGM has previously provided assistance to Maitreya’s hospital Maitreya Multi Superspeciality Hospital. This agreement solidifies our relationship and improves our communication and coordination to handle critical cases and save lives. We see this opportunity as the beginning of us achieving our vision to provide exceptional healthcare to people across the country.”

“This MoU is a tribute to Dr Sanket Mehta a National Hero & Covid 19 Warrior and a Surat resident, who put his own life in danger to save a COVID-19 patient. We are happy to know he has resumed active medical duties and applaud his commitment to patient care.” He further added.

“We, at Maitreya, are elated by this collaboration. Like MGM Healthcare, we too have a vision to provide people with the best healthcare services and save as many lives as we can. Our urge to help patients with critical heart and lung conditions and end-stage heart problems in our region was immediately recognised by MGM Healthcare from the outset. Our relationship, which had developed while sharing medical services on a few previous cases, helped in finalising the MoU,” said Dr. Narendra Tanwar and Dr Suchay Parikh, directors , Maitreya Medical Private Limited.

MGM Healthcare and Maitreya Medicare will together provide optimal care in cardiac medical management, ECMO and other essential medical services to patients in Surat.
