Jalandhar, May 5, 2205: A mental health awareness seminar was organized at Innocent Hearts , Green Model Town for the students of Grade 9, who are members of the Health & Wellness Club.
In today's fast-paced modern world and under the influence of the digital age, children are constantly exposed to a vast amount of information on social media. While some of this content may be educational, a large portion of it can be misleading, confusing, or emotionally distressing. To raise awareness about these issues, a special session was conducted in collaboration with a team of four individuals who are currently traveling from Delhi to Kashmir on motorcycles. The team includes Sehr Hashmi, a motivational speaker and fashion stylist, Dev Desai, Samanyu Shukla, and Nazneen Shaikh – all of whom are currently on a powerful journey titled "Breaking Stigma One Mile at a Time." The goal of this unique bike ride is to spread awareness about mental health across the country. During the session, Sehr Hashmi and Dev Desai engaged with the students and emphasized that parents can be the best friends and most trustworthy people in one’s life. They advised the students to share any troubling or confusing thoughts with their parents, who can help them distinguish between right and wrong. They also explained that loneliness does not lead to better mental health. In addition, they shared valuable helpline numbers and information about 24×7 support services that students can use in times of need.
On this occasion, Director CSR Dr. Palak Gupta Bowry honored Sehr Hashmi and her team by presenting them with  token of appreciation.
