A special mental health awareness session was organized at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), situated at Tilyar, with a focus on the mental well-being and holistic personality development of the staff members and students.
Rohtak, April 9, 2026: A special mental health awareness session was organized at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), situated at Tilyar, with a focus on the mental well-being and holistic personality development of the staff members and students.
This information was shared by Vikas Deshwal, a lecturer at the IHM. He said that faculty and staff members, and students participated enthusiastically in this session, which was conducted under the guidance of psychologist Raj Alampur. The primary objective of this session was to enhance awareness regarding mental health, to provide strategies for effectively managing stress and pressure, and to foster a positive mindset.
Highlighting the rising levels of mental stress, intense competition, and lifestyle-related challenges prevalent in contemporary times, the expert speaker offered students practical strategies for coping with exam-related anxiety, career-related concerns, and the maintenance of balance in their personal lives. He emphasized that mental health is just as crucial as physical health, and that adopting a regular daily routine, ensuring adequate sleep, maintaining a balanced diet, and practicing yoga and meditation are absolutely essential for its upkeep. During the interactive activities and Q&A session held as part of the event, participants were able to seek clarifications and solutions to their queries from the expert.
Expressing his gratitude, Shambhu Nath Gautam, Principal of IHM, expressed hope that such inspirational programs would prove instrumental in fostering a positive and healthy environment within the institute. The event was attended by Dr. Pankaj Singh, Dr. Shweta Kumar, Priyanka Hooda, Tarun Hooda, Meenakshi Nandal, along with other staff members and students.
