Memorable event commemorating Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary

Chandigarh, January 12, 2024: Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC-UIPS) in collaboration with the Cell for Promotion of Universal Human Values of Punjab University hosted a memorable event on Friday commemorating Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary.

The event started with a warm welcome address by Prof. Anil Kumar, Chairperson, UIPS (Panjab University) followed by insightful thoughts by Prof. Latika and Prof. Nandita Shukla Singh, Professor Department of Education, Panjab University, which helped set a positive tone for the session. A rejuvenating session of yoga and meditation by Ms Aastha helped to prepare the audience for the talk. Sushri Pranjali Yerikar, Regional Head of Punjab and Haryana State talked about the journey of Swami Vivekananda and the life lessons that we can learn from the same and emphasized its relevance for the modern youth.

Prof. Sanjay Kaushik's DCDC Presidential address eloquently reflected on the enduring significance of Swami Vivekananda's teachings. The event facilitated networking and thought exchange in a relaxed environment with emphasize on the principles championed by Swami Vivekananda. The event ended with closing remarks by Prof. O.P. Katare along with felicitations of the distinguished guests and the participants of 7th SDP Programme.
