Mega Job Fair held at Guru Goibind Singh Polytechnic College

Talwandi Sabo, April 3, 2014: Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic College, Talwandi Sabo organised a Mega Job Fair in the campus for the diploma holders and Final semester students. About ten companies converged at the fair namely Pact Solutions, OIT frames, AS Chandigarh, Health Street and Pic N Frames and others visited the Campus at Talwandi Sabo to select the students.

Karanjeev Singh, Training and Placement Officer of Guru Kashi University told that students from various Polytechnic Colleges of the region thronged the fair to take the benefit of this Mega Placement drive.

Dr. Amit Tuteja, Principal GGS Polytechnic College told that H.R. Managers from the above mentioned companies selected the students through rigorous selection procedure i.e. written aptitude test, Group discussions and finally technical Interview. Finally 53 students got selected and all the selected students were given offer letters on the spot. In the branch vise selection 24 students of CSE, 14 students of  ECE and 5 each were selected from Mechanical, Electrical and Civil branch All the students got package varying from 1.25 to 1.8 lac per/Annam.

Managing Director Sukhraj Singh Sidhu appreciated the activity as this Job Fair has provided jobs not only to the GGS Polytechnic College students but the students of other colleges also taken the benefit.

Dr. N.S.Malhi Vice-Chancellor of Guru Kashi University lauded the efforts of Principal Dr. Amit Tuteja and TPO Karanjeev Singh. He further suggested to the human resource managers of various companies that they should conduct seminars in educational institutions on regular basis so that the required corporate attitude should be developed amongst the students to make them not only job ready but as confident professionals.
