A mega exporters meet to mentor First Generation Entrepreneurs on Jan 30

Ludhiana, January 28, 2015: Joint DGFT, Ludhiana under Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India in association with Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), Punjab Chapter is organising a mega exporters meet to mentor First Generation Entrepreneurs under Niryat Bandhu Scheme on January 30 at Ludhiana.

According to Ajay Sahai, Director General & CEO,  FIEO, office of Jt DGFT, Niryat Bandhu provides ‘handholding'; of  the young business enterprises. Under the scheme, officers of Directorate General of Foreign Trade will be investing time and knowledge to mentor the interested individuals to conduct the business in a legal and ethical way. Sahai said that there will also be a presentation on the Indian Trade Portal –www.indiantradeportal.in, recently unveiled by the Commerce & Industry Minister, Govt.of India, which provides information on Trade Agreements, MFN and Preferential tariffs, SPS/TBT measures adopted by various countries including India, Export Markets, Import sources, FAQs on Exports right from matters like “How to Export” to technical matters concerning Customs, Trade Policy, Banking etc.

S C Ralhan, Chairman (Northern Region) FIEO said that the event is believed to gather 80-100 exporters of Ludhiana and adjoining areas to know various schemes  under Foreign Trade Policy to be explained by the officials of DGFT and  to discuss the ongoing issues with regard to various authorities connected with  exports. The event will be graced by M.S Dhillon, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade and officials from NSIC will also be present to focus on the areas of international trades and subsidies. A brief presentation on the scope and relevance of FIEO and its role and activities shall also be made available to the participants. The Session is open for exporters from the region without any participation charges subject to confirmation.
