Furry friends have always been close to humans and such events bring us close to them. “Awareness about various dog breeds is a must for harmonious co-existence in the society,” she added.
The show received an overwhelming response from the canine lovers across Tricity. While the competition in the Rottweiler and Labrador dog category witnessed massive participation from faraway places in the country this year, more than 50 breeds of Dogs were on display on the second day. Dr. Ranjit Singh, Deputy Director Animal Husbandry, Panchkula told that it had been a very successful edition. The footfall had been really impressive with pet lovers thronging the place from far flung areas. The best part of the show was awareness about some of the huge Dog breeds and training them.

It was a championship show and I am glad to share that people have become more aware and concerned about their pets. The furry friends are a part of the family for most of them and such shows prove to be an apt platform to showcase the breeds and are significant for the preservation of the pure lineage.
