MDU sets October 15 deadline for PhD applications; interviews from October 21

Rohtak, October 14, 2026: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) has set October 15 as the deadline for online applications for PhD admissions for the academic session 2026-27.
According to MDU’s Director Public Relations, Sunit Mukherjee, interviews for UGC NET Category-I candidates will be held on October 21 and 22, with the first merit list scheduled for October 23. Admission counselling will take place on October 27, and selected candidates must deposit their fees by October 28. A list of vacant seats, if any, will be released on October 30.
If seats remain vacant, online registration for UGC NET Categories I, II and III candidates will open on November 2, with November 12 as the application deadline. Interviews will be held on November 16 and 17, followed by the merit list on November 18 and counselling on November 19. A third round of counselling is scheduled for November 25.
PhD coursework classes will commence on December 1.
