Rohtak, September 24, 2026: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) held a meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Milap Puniya to strengthen its startup ecosystem and promote entrepreneurship among students.
The meeting focused on the incentives available under various Haryana government startup schemes and ways to expand startup and innovation activities on the campus. Prof. Puniya stressed the need for effective mentoring, incubation and institutional support to help students turn innovative ideas into viable and self-sustaining ventures.
Mukul Azad, Principal Consultant (Startup), Haryana Industries and Commerce Department, gave a presentation on government schemes, financial incentives and other support available to startups. He also highlighted opportunities for students and young innovators.
Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal, Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Randeep Rana, Dean CDC Prof. Rajesh Puniya, Centre for Innovation and Incubation Director Prof. Ajit Kumar and other university and industry representatives attended the meeting.
