MDU: 817 candidates appeared for PG entrance exams in Chemistry, Journalism, Mathematics, Physics, and Life Sciences

Entrance examinations for admission to MDU's postgraduate (PG) courses for the academic session 2026-27 were conducted on Tuesday for the following programs: MSc (Chemistry), MA (Journalism and Mass Communication), MSc (Mathematics), MSc (Physics), and the Life Sciences group.

Rohtak, July 14, 2026: Entrance examinations for admission to MDU's postgraduate (PG) courses for the academic session 2026-27 were conducted on Tuesday for the following programs: MSc (Chemistry), MA (Journalism and Mass Communication), MSc (Mathematics), MSc (Physics), and the Life Sciences group.

Dean (Academic Affairs) Prof. A.S. Maan inspected various examination centers to review the arrangements, security measures, and facilities available to the candidates. He instructed the officials and staff deployed at the centers to ensure the examinations were conducted in a fair, transparent, and peaceful manner.

Director (Public Relations) Sunit Mukherjee stated that the number of candidates who appeared for the exams on Tuesday was as follows: 120 for MSc (Chemistry), 96 for MA (Journalism and Mass Communication), 95 for MSc (Mathematics), 102 for MSc (Physics), and 404 for the Life Sciences group.

He further informed that entrance examinations for MA (Political Science), the Common Entrance Test for the three-year LLB (Hons) course, MA (History), and LLM are scheduled for July 15. Meanwhile, examinations for B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, MA (Geography, Sanskrit, Yoga Science, Defence and Strategic Studies, Economics, Hindu Studies, Education, Fine Arts), M.Lib, various courses in the Department of Music, M.Ed, and MSc (Statistics) will be held on July 16. 

The entrance examinations for MA (Hindi), MCA, MSc Computer Science, MSc (Data Science and Machine Learning), and M.Pharm courses (Pharmaceutical Sciences group) will be held on July 17.
