MDS & Bansilal Malani College of Nursing Celebrates Graduation of Fifth Batch of B.Sc. Nursing Students

Hyderabad, September 19, 2026: MDS & Bansilal Malani College of Nursing celebrated the Convocation of its Fifth Batch of B.Sc. Nursing graduates in Hyderabad, with 50 students successfully completing their programme.
K. Keshava Rao, Advisor to the Government of Telangana (Public Affairs), was the Chief Guest. Dr. R. A. Sastry, Senior Consultant, Professor and Academic Director of GI & HPB Surgery, KIMS Hospitals, Hyderabad, and Dr. Sachin Marda, Senior Consultant Oncologist and Robotic Surgeon, Yashoda Hospitals, were the Guests of Honour.
The convocation marked an important milestone in the lives of the graduating students as they embark on their professional careers in the healthcare sector.
Speaking on the occasion, K. Keshava Rao said, “Nurses are the ‘sisters of the nation’ and play a vital role not only in treating patients but also in giving them courage, confidence and emotional support. Nursing goes beyond technical knowledge—it requires compassion, patience, understanding and a deep sense of responsibility. As you begin your professional journey, serve society with ethics, commitment and dignity, and remember that your true success lies in the lives you touch and the difference you make.”
He also highlighted the significant role of nurses in public health, particularly in rural and underserved communities, and urged the graduates to contribute to the health and well-being of society beyond the hospital environment.
Saroj Bajaj, President, Mahila Dakshata Samithi, said, “The graduation of our fifth batch of B.Sc. Nursing students is a proud milestone for MDS and a reflection of our longstanding commitment to empowering women through education. Our College of Nursing aims to nurture competent, compassionate and socially responsible healthcare professionals.”
She added, “Nursing is not merely a profession; it is a commitment to humanity. We encourage our graduates to combine knowledge and clinical skills with empathy, ethics and respect for every patient. I congratulate the graduating students, their parents and our dedicated faculty and wish the students a successful and purposeful professional journey.”
She further said that MDS remains committed to strengthening nursing education and plans to introduce an M.Sc. Nursing programme to expand its academic offerings and contribute to the growing healthcare needs of society.
