MC Poll: BJP departure imminent, says Rajinder Rana

Chandigarh, December 18, 2021: While addressing public meetings in support of Congress candidates in various municipal wards of Chandigarh on Sunday , Rajinder Rana, MLA from Sujanpur assembly seat of Himachal Pradesh and vice-president of State Congress Committee, who was appointed as the coordinator by the Congress high command for Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections, said that the withered faces of BJP leaders are testifying that the condition of BJP is thin and people have made up their mind for change.
Rajinder Rana said that despite being running Chandigarh Municipal Corporation for 6 years, BJP could not fulfill its election promises and Chandigarh has been lagging behind in the matter of development and cleanliness.
Rajinder Rana further said that the BJP leaders have also put their army of big leaders in the streets of Chandigarh in these elections. These big leaders would often find themselves in a catch-22 situation due to thin crowd and volley of questions from public over the past 6 years report cards of BJP.
Long and dejected faces of BJP leaders post any rally or program are clear indications that they are facing public anger and the condition of BJP is getting thinner in the elections.
Rajinder Rana said that despite the BJP having a municipal corporation in Chandigarh and the BJP government at the Center, the budget of Chandigarh has decreased instead of increasing.
BJP is solely responsible for the deteriorating condition of roads and parks. People are moaning about inflation, but BJP has turned deaf ears to people's woes.
Rajinder Rana said that the BJP leaders are already aware of the fact that the people of Chandigarh have made up their mind to give a blow to the BJP and its departure from this municipal corporation is imminent.
He said that in the four by-elections of Himachal Pradesh, the way the Congress has won a bang by sweeping the BJP, the same history will now be repeated in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation as well.
