MC COMMISSIONER BANS LIQUOR, PAAN, GUTKHA AND CHEWING GUM

Dharamshala: A person residing within the limits of Municipal Corporation, Dharamshala may have to pay a fine to the tune of Rs.5,000 if he is caught spitting in public areas. The selling and chewing of paan, gutkha and chewing gums have also been prohibited within limits of the corporation till further orders. Selling of liquor has also been banned with immediate effect. 
Commissioner, MC, Dharamshala said, “Every possible step is being taken to contain the spread of Corona virus in the State. Spitting in open areas may lead to spread of Corona virus. Any person found to be spitting in public areas, streets and roads would be slapped a fine up to Rs.5,000. A shopkeeper who is found to be involved in selling of these articles would also be fined accordingly. These orders would remain effective till May 03, 2020.”
