As part of their academic curriculum, 52 students from B.Com and BBA programs, accompanied by 5 faculty members, visited MBCIE on Wednesday, 6th May 2026. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of incubation centres, startup ecosystems, and entrepreneurship development initiatives.
The session, themed “Don’t Get into the Trap of Jobs – Create Your Ventures!”, was delivered by Mr. Shiven Das, CEO of Ludhiana Angel Network and Director at MBCIE. He shared inspiring startup stories and conducted an engaging question-and-answer session with the participants. Key aspects such as the dos and don’ts of entrepreneurship were discussed in detail. The 1.5-hour interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students raising questions across diverse domains, reflecting curiosity and a strong inclination toward understanding real-world challenges and opportunities in the startup ecosystem.
The students were formally welcomed by Dr. Prem, Executive Director, MBCIE, along with Navdeep Singh, Head – Academic & Corporate Relations, MBCIE, who initiated the discussion with Dr. Avtar for this session. MBCIE expressed its appreciation for the enthusiastic participation of the students and faculty and looks forward to hosting more such academic engagements in the future.
