Mauritius Delegation Visits ICAR-CIPHET under Bilateral Engagement Programme

A high-level delegation from the Republic of Mauritius, led by Sayed Muhammad Aadil AMEER, Minister of Industry, SME and Cooperatives, visited ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (ICAR-CIPHET), Ludhiana, under the Bilateral Engagement Programme to explore India's advancements in post-harvest engineering, food processing, technology commercialization, and agri-entrepreneurship.

Mauritius Delegation Visits ICAR-CIPHET under Bilateral Engagement Programme

Ludhiana, August 5, 2026: A high-level delegation from the Republic of Mauritius, led by Sayed Muhammad Aadil AMEER, Minister of Industry, SME and Cooperatives, visited ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (ICAR-CIPHET), Ludhiana, under the Bilateral Engagement Programme to explore India's advancements in post-harvest engineering, food processing, technology commercialization, and agri-entrepreneurship.
Welcoming the delegation, Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR-CIPHET, highlighted the Institute's mandate and showcased its innovative technologies in post-harvest management, food processing, value addition, agricultural mechanization, and technology transfer. He emphasized the Institute's efforts in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercialization of agricultural technologies.
Sayed Muhammad Aadil AMEER appreciated the innovative technologies developed by ICAR-CIPHET and commended the Institute's contribution towards post-harvest management and value addition. He expressed interest in strengthening bilateral collaboration between the Republic of Mauritius and ICAR-CIPHET in areas of technology development, capacity building, and knowledge exchange.
Gurwant Singh, President, CoFAME, highlighted the activities of CoFAME in empowering farmers through technology adoption, entrepreneurship, and market linkages.
Dr. Ranjeet Singh, Head, ToT Division, ICAR-CIPHET, briefed the delegation on the Institute's technology commercialization, incubation, and startup support initiatives. The delegation also interacted with ICAR-CIPHET incubatees and stakeholders, who shared their entrepreneurial journeys and experiences in technology adoption.
The delegation appreciated the Institute's research, innovation, and commercialization initiatives and expressed optimism for future cooperation between ICAR-CIPHET and the Republic of Mauritius in advancing sustainable agricultural technologies.
