Mathematics Department of HMV organised extension lecture

Jalandhar, January 18, 2022: The PG Department of Mathematics of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized an Extension Lecture on the topic “Introduction to Data Science through Python” and a Poster Presentation Competition on “Maths Shorts in Data Science” under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen  who always motivate to organize such events from time to time. Dr. Sandeep Ranjan, Professor and Engineer  in Computer Science, Swami Vivekanand Institute of Technology, Banur, Rajpura was Resource Person and Judge for the day. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics and                              Mrs. Gagandeep, Head of Mathematics Department welcomed the Resource Person. Dr. Sandeep Ranjan introduced the Data Science through Python in very interesting and beautiful way. He also shared various examples of Programmes in Python. Dr. Sandeep Ranjan appreciated the innovative ideas of the students on the topic “Maths Shorts in Data  Science”. Mrs. Gagandeep addressed the students by motivating them to do regular exercise of mind by solving various mathematical problems. In this poster presentation competition Arbia Tahir of B.Sc., Non Medical Sem V got first prize, Gaganpreet Kaur of M.Sc., Mathematics-Sem I and Taniya of B.Sc., C.Sc. Sem-III got second prize and Jiya of B.Sc., C.Sc. Sem III and Sahibpreet Kaur of B.Sc., Non Medical Sem-III got third prize. On this occasion Mrs. Deepali, Dr.  Gaurav  Verma, Ms. Charanjit Kaur and Ms. Deeksha from Mathematics Department were also present.
