Jalandhar, November 28, 2025: Innocent Hearts School, across its Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.–Jandiala Road, Kapurthala Road, and Noorpur campuses, successfully conducted the ‘Marvels of Science’ activity for the Pre-Primary school students. The enthusiastic young scientists from Pre-Nursery to UKG engaged in hands-on experiments that ignited curiosity and made learning truly exciting.
The highlight of the day was Magical Science, where children actively participated in a series of fun experiments and observed fascinating scientific reactions. Students explored colour mixing and sound through activities such as the Water Xylophone, which not only enhanced their understanding but also filled the atmosphere with joy and excitement.
One of the most intriguing experiments was the Leaf Float, where drops of ink placed on a leaf drifted gracefully when floated on water. The ink slowly spread and appeared to dance on the surface as water carried the light ink particles in different directions—capturing the imagination of the young observers.
Another engaging highlight was the Colour Change Experiment. Children observed how turmeric mixed with water appeared yellow, turned orange when detergent (a base) was added, and finally changed to red upon adding lemon juice (an acid). This activity demonstrated how turmeric reacts differently in the presence of acids and bases, turning science into an enjoyable visual experience.
The session encouraged observation, exploration, and inquiry, laying a strong foundation for scientific thinking at an early age. It proved to be a wonderful blend of fun and learning—making science magical for our little learners.
