Ferozepur, March 3, 2014: It seems that both Congress and SAD-BJP alliance leaders are competing with each other to initiate development projects in this backward border area in which the pleasure is all of the common man.

Just few days back, in order to woo the electorates in this border town, the Chief Minister of Punjab had laid the foundation stone for a much awaited government college and construction of a sports stadium.

Besides, the CM had announced other various projects to sparkle the reputation of this neglected border town. The CM had announced the relocation of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) to pave way for the construction of PGI Satellite centre, which was earlier approved by Ministry of Health last year but was yet to get the no-objection certificate from the state government.

On the other side, the local Congress MLA, Parminder Singh Pinki, claims to leave no stone unturned for the development of this area. He generally give a tap on his back, for Central Government consent for the PGI Satellite Centre project, blames the leaders of SAD-BJP alliance that they are stealing his show.

Pinki, who had recently announced that Centre government is starting Ferozepur-Chandigarh train also has the credit in his kitty for the project of four laning of Bajidpur to Hussainiwala road.

In his most recent accomplishment, Pinki claims that the centre government has given nod to develop Ferozepur as a Heritage and Tourist spot for which a blueprint has been submitted to the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India under scheme of Punjab Development Infrastructure Destination. He informed that a grant of Rs.4 crore will be spent for the beautification of Martyr Memorial and other places of historical importance in and around Ferozepur. //Ferozepur news, Ferozepur news live, Ferozepur news online, Ferozepur news, Ferozepur news headlines, Ferozepur breaking news, india news, punjab news, world news,
