Married couple of Una commits suicide in private hotel

Dharamsala: A couple from Una district committed suicide in a Dharamsala Hotel.

According to Dr. Khushal Chand Sharma SSP , both of the deceased are from district Una and been staying  in a hotel in Dharamsala since 17-08-21.

According to Dr Sharma information was received at Police Station Dharamsala on 18-08-2021 at 09.55 pm, that a couple staying in Room No. 405 of Hotel Pine Valley  at Dharamshala is not responding to phone calls. On receiving the information, the police team from Dharamshala station reached the spot and on investigation found the hotel room no. 405 to be locked from inside.

Police said that according to the hotel records, this room was booked by  a 38 years old man  and 30 woman of  Panjoha, , District Una (HP) .

Police added that on opening the room by the police, both were found in a suspected state of consuming poison. The addresses of the above two were verified by the police as per the records given in the hotel and the families of both were informed. During the search of the room, a suicide note has been received by the police. The inspection of the spot has been done by Mr. Puneet Raghu, Additional Superintendent of Police (City).

On the statement of the mother of one of  the deceased, a case has been registered under Section 306, 34 IPC, Police Station Dharamshala and further investigation is going on in the case and both the dead bodies has been  sent for post mortem.
