Manoranjan Kalia Unfurls Tricolour at Jalandhar Residence on 80th Independence Day
BJP National Executive Member and former Punjab Minister Manoranjan Kalia unfurled the National Tricolour in front of his residence in Central Town, Jalandhar City, on Saturday to mark the 80th Independence Day.

Jalandhar, August 15, 2026: BJP National Executive Member and former Punjab Minister Manoranjan Kalia unfurled the National Tricolour in front of his residence in Central Town, Jalandhar City, on Saturday to mark the 80th Independence Day.
Speaking after the flag unfurling ceremony, Kalia said that over the past 12 years under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s economy had strengthened significantly and the country was moving towards greater self-reliance.
He said India was making progress across key sectors, including industry, infrastructure, agriculture, science and technology, and defence. He added that efforts to strengthen domestic manufacturing were helping reduce dependence on imports while increasing exports.
A large number of BJP leaders, workers, prominent citizens and well-wishers attended the Independence Day celebration.
