Chandigarh, January 18, 2026: The Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has once again sent a strong message by taking major action against anti-social elements attempting to disrupt law and order in the state. Cabinet Ministers Lal Chand Kataruchak and Aman Arora jointly stated that the Punjab government is fully committed to maintaining peace and communal harmony in the state.
They made it clear that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will not tolerate any form of hooliganism or anti-social activities, and the strictest legal action is being taken against such elements.
Under this ongoing crackdown, Ludhiana Police achieved a major success by busting a module of notorious gangster Goldy Brar. During a special and intensive operation conducted over the past three weeks, the police successfully arrested 10 criminals linked to this module. A large cache of illegal weapons was recovered from their possession, including two foreign-made pistols. Cases have been registered against the accused under the Arms Act and other serious sections, and further investigations are underway.
Both ministers praised the Ludhiana Police for this operation, stating that the success reflects the alertness of the Punjab Police and the state government’s zero-tolerance policy against crime. They asserted that law and order will not be allowed to be disturbed in Punjab under any circumstances.
The ministers assured the people that the government is taking every possible step to make Punjab a peaceful and vibrant state once again and to safeguard the life and property of every citizen.
