Ludhiana , February 21: Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the state government will spend around Rs 20.01 crore on the design, manufacture, supply and delivery of 200 numbers tippers for dry, wet waste and development of an all-weather indoor swimming pool at Ludhiana.

Cabinet Minister said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is making every possible effort to provide a clean and pollution-free environment to the people of the state. Working in this direction, the Punjab government is conducting development works across the state.

Giving more information in this regard, Local Government Minister, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that approximately Rs 14.80 crore will be spent for the design, manufacture, supply and delivery of 200 numbers tippers for dry and wet waste in Ludhiana.

Similarly, he said that an all-weather indoor swimming pool will be developed at Rakh Bagh Sports Complex in Ludhiana at a cost of Rs 5.21 crore. It will cover mechanical and electrical components defects for a period of 5 years.

Dr. Nijjar said that the office process for these works has already been started by the local government department. He said that the Local Government Department has uploaded the e-tenders for these works on the Punjab Government website www.eproc.punjab.gov.in. If any kind of amendment is required in these tenders then all the information will be made available on this website.

He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to provide corruption free administration to the people of the state. Therefore, if any officer and employee is caught committing corruption, he will not be spared.

Minister has directed the officials to ensure quality and transparency in the work of the department.
