Manipal Hospitals hoists Tricolour celebrating India’s 76th Independence Day

Bengaluru, August 15, 2022: Manipal Hospitals, Old Airport Road, today celebrated India’s 76th Independence Day with their staff, commemorating the diversity, secularism and patriotism of the country. The event commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. Poonam Patil, Consultant – Medical Oncology in the presence of Dr Manish Rai, Hospital Director, Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road along with 29 staff members from the hospital. This year, the staff dedicated the day to the healthcare fraternity, the heroes who saved lives and fought against the COVID virus, especially during the peak time. Staff members were dressed in the traditional attire of the 29 different States, as they spoke of the unique qualities and diverse cultures of these states.

Soon after hoisting the flag, a team of nurses sang the National Anthem and patriotic songs. Staff members and medical experts took out a march past symbolizing synchronization and team spirit among various departments. Manipal Hospitals is a symbol of unity and diversity, in view of the patients it caters to, both from within India as well as around the world. The event was concluded with prize distribution and a vote of thanks to the doctors and nurses, who selflessly served patients during the tough times of the pandemic.

This has helped us gain the confidence of the patients to whom we provide accurate diagnosis, right medical intervention, and robust care. This year, we decided to celebrate and remember our heroes who fought for freedom and the heroes who relentlessly worked hard to save countless lives during the COVID times.
