Jalandhar, September 21, 2019: Two-day special literary and cultural program organized by the Post Graduate Department of Punjabi, Lyallpur Khalsa College, in collaboration with the Punjabi Sangeet Natak Academy concluded successfully with an entertaining and colourful events.
The second day of this cultural festival saw Satnam Singh Manak, Main Editor, Daily Ajit preside over the proceedings and he was duly welcomed to the college by Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra.
In his speech, Satnam Singh Manak highlighted and appreciated the collective efforts of Lyallpur Khalsa College regarding the preservation and promotion of Punjabi language and culture.
Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra appreciated the efforts of Post Graduate Department of Punjabi lead by HOD, Dr.Gopal Singh Buttar in their service for Punjabi language and heritage.
The second day of the event witnessed impressive performances from artists enacting the play 'Talaaq' directed by Lakha Lehri (Sarthak Rang Manch Patiala), Sufi singer Gurpreet Waris and dance artists performing Malwai Dance.
Dr.Gopal Singh Buttar, Head, PG Department of Punjabi thanked the chief guest, Principal, artists, staff and the gathered audience to concluded the colourful program.
The program was managed from the stage by Dr.Harjinder Singh Sekhon. Faculty members and students from various Departments of the college were also present on the occasion.
