MANAGEMENTS, EMPLOYEES & PENSIONERS OF PSPCL CONTRIBUTE ONE DAY SALARY/PENSION TO TUNE OF Rs. 7.91 CR IN CM RELIEF FUND COVID-19

Chandigarh: Responding to the appeal of the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the managements, employees and pensioners of PSPCL/PSTCL contributed Rs. 7.91 crore towards Chief Minister Covid Relief Fund.

Lauding this benevolent gesture, Captain Amarinder said these donations would go a long way in extending a helping hand to the people in these trying circumstances due to COVID-19. 

It may be recalled that managements and employees besides pensioners of both Punjab State Power Corporation Limited and Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited have donated their one day’s salary/pension in the Chief Minister Relief Fund in the battle against coronavirus. Last year also during the floods in the Punjab state, PSPCL/PSTCL employees/ pensioners showed their solidarity by contributing one day salary/pension to CM Relief fund, he added. 

Captain Amarinder also appreciated the services rendered by the employees of these corporations 24X7 even under harsh conditions during summer, winter and rainy season besides ongoing curfew/lockdown. 

The spokesperson further said that this amount of Rs. 7.91 Crores had already been deposited through RTGS in CM Punjab COVID-19 Relief Fund.

CHAIRMEN, OFFICERS/OFFICIALS OF PUNJAB AGRO & ITS ALLIED UNITS CONTRIBUTE Rs. 21.75 LAKH TO CM RELIEF FUND-COVID-19

: On the appeal of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the Chairmen and employees of all categories of Punjab Agro has contributed a sum of Rs 21.75 lakh in Chief Minister Relief Fund COVID-19.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson informed that the Group A and B & C officers/officials of Punjab Agro and its allied units had contributed 25% and 20 % of their salaries respectively to the fund while Group-D officials donated 15 % of their salary.
Meanwhile, ACS Development Viswajeet Khanna highly appreciated this benevolent gesture of the officials/staff to express their solidarity with the people of the state in this hour of crisis.
The Spokesperson further informed that the Chairman Punjab Agri Export Corporation Ltd R.S. Pali and Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation Ltd Geeta Sharma have also contributed their one month’s salary towards CM Relief Fund.
 The Chairman of Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Joginder Singh Mann and Chairman Punjab Agro Juices Ltd. Kulwant Singh, who are already working on honorary basis, lauded the help extended by the officers/officials of Punjab Agro as a welfare measure to needy people amid COVID-19.
