MAN KILLS WIFE, KIDS IN FEROZEPUR

Ferozepur, January 11, 2019: In a tragic incident, a man allegedly killed his wife and two minor kids at Village Shahdin Wala in Ferozepur. The accused identified as Paramjit Singh (36) alias Pamma first allegedly killed his wife with the help of a sharp edged weapon and then choked his minor kids to death.

The deceased have been identified as Palwinder Kaur (32) (wife), Mankirat Kaur (13) and Prabhjotnoor Singh (6).

It is pertinent to mention here that Paramjit was living in the house along with the family of his brother and his parents. Ironically, no one in the entire family could get any clue about the incident till the morning. The matter came to fore when Lakhbir Singh, the father of the accused noticed that the gate of the room was closed from outside. When he opened the room, he found that the bodies of his daughter-in-law, grandson and grand-daughter were lying on the bed.

As per the information provided by the Villagers, Paramjit was married with Palwinder around thirteen years ago. He had no enmity with anyone. Their daughter Mankirat was a student of Class 7 while son Prabhjotnoor was a student of Prep-II in a private school. Paramjit was facing financial problem and had borrowed some money also. His father had 7 acres land on which he along with his brother were doing the farming to feed their families.

When contacted, Jaspal Singh, DSP said that the police is trying to trace the location of Paramjit with the help of mobile signals. “The police is working on different theories. We are hopeful that very soon Paramjit will be nabbed. More the police will be able to say after the postmortem report is received”, said DSP Jaspal.

A case has been registered against the main accused Paramjit and his brother Avtar Singh and mother Sukhjit Kaur following the complaint registered by Gurwinder Singh the brother of the deceased Palwinder Kaur under sections 302, 34, 120 IPC at Sadar police station (Case no. 10 dated 11.01.2019).
