Man kills wife in Delhi, arrested

New Delhi, May 27 (IANS) A 25-year-old labourer was Tuesday arrested for stabbing his wife to death over a trivial issue, police said.

Manju, 20, received a wound in her abdomen with a sharp-edged object at her house in Seemapuri area in east Delhi.

A neighbour told police the couple used to fight over small issues. On Wednesday night, the neighbour heard screaming and shouting from inside the couple's home.

Some neighbours entered the house and found Manju lying in a pool of blood on the floor.

She was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead.

Her husband Gautam, who fled after the incident, was arrested from his house Tuesday, police said.
