Man kills 5 people & later shoots self dead in UP

Mainpuri, June 24 (HS): According to authorities, a man reportedly murdered a friend and four family members before shooting himself dead in a village near here on Saturday. Shiv Veer Yadav (28), a resident of Gokulpur Arsara, allegedly killed his brothers Bhullan Yadav (25) and Sonu Yadav (21), Sonu's wife Soni (20) and brother-in-law Saurabh (23) as well as friend Deepak (20) with an axe, according to Mainpuri Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar. Shiv Veer Yadav reportedly harmed his wife Doli (24) and maternal aunt Sushma (35) before shooting himself with a revolver, according to a police official. According to authorities, the injured have been brought to the district hospital in Mainpuri, while the bodies have been submitted for autopsies. He also stated that the cause of the occurrence was unknown at the time, and that an inquiry was underway.
