Malik challenges Jhakar to come with evidence and prove the poll promises which have been fulfilled

Congress has lost in 11 states after Modi became PM, the people have rejected the Congress, what more evidence does Jakhar want: Malik

Chandigarh, April 10, 2018: Newly-appointed Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party president and Rajya Sabha MP, Shwait Malik today came down heavily on his Congress counterpart Sunil Kumar Jakhar, charging him with diverting attention from facts and indulging in blame game. “Holding the sacred Gutka Sahib in his hands Capt.Amarinder Singh had promised to provide a full crop loan waiver to the farmers in his very first cabinet meeting, he had promised to wipe out drug menace in the state within four weeks and now, when the Opposition reminds him that numerous cabinet meetings have taken place but the full crop loan hasn’t been waived, 50 weeks have passed by instead of four but still drug menace persists, then instead of providing facts, Sunil Jakhar indulges in blame game”, said Malik while responding to Jakhar’s statement.

Challenging Jakhar, Malik asked him to cite a name of any one youth of the state to whom the Congress had provided a Smartphone, Rs 2500 unemployment allowance as per its pre-poll promise. Malik said, “Provide the name of any elderly, physically disabled, widow who is getting Rs 1500 pension per month according to your promise, or tell one name that has got a home as per your commitment of providing households to dalits. You name any government employee who has received his pending DA arrears or other allowances, or reveal those from the sand-transport-liquor mafia whom you have nabbed, or even any blue card holder who has received sugar and tea along with atta-dal”.

Lambasting Jakhar, Malik said, “If you have fulfilled any promise made to a farmer, farm labourer, dalit, youth, the elderly, women, government employee, businessman, industrialist, sanitation worker, freedom fighter, advocate, teachers etc., come and prove with evidence”.

Concluding his statement, Malik said that the people express their opinion in the democracy by using their power to vote. “Jakhar Sahib should remember that the Congress has been reduced to a 48-member party in the 527-membered Lok Sabha. Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took charge of this country and started serving the people, Congress has lost elections in 11 states. The masses have rejected the Congress and it will soon be wiped out from Karnataka too”, said Malik.
