MAKE WISE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA: PAU TO FARM WOMEN

Ludhiana, July 11, 2023: Based upon situation analysis and need identification of farm families, the Department of Extension Education and Communication Management, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organized an awareness campaign in the village Himayunpura, Ludhiana. Nearly 25 farm women and young girls participated in the programme, wherein awareness on certification marks issued for different products in India, household water harvesting and role of educational counseling in prevention of drug addiction was created. Youth was particularly made aware of productive usage of social media, especially WhatsApp.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr Sukhdeep Kaur and Dr Mandeep Sharma, Assistant Professors, Department of Extension Education and Communication Management.
