New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) A major fire broke out in a shoe factory in Outer Delhi's Udyog Nagar on Sunday.
According to the fire department, they were informed about the incident at around 9 a.m. After receiving the call, a dozen fire engines were sent to the spot to extinguish the fire.
"Fire officer Sarabjeet Singh reported that the factory, spanning an area of 1100 square yards, is primarily engaged in shoe production.
"The fire originated on the third floor of the factory.
"Currently, 12 fire engines are spraying water from all sides to control the fire as quickly as possible. So far, no casualties have been reported," said the official.
The fire officials expect to bring the fire under control soon.
