Major Drug Bust by Nurpur Police: Over 1 Kg Hashish Seized, Two Arrested

Dharamshala, May 3, 2025: As part of its ongoing anti-drug campaign, the District Police of Nurpur carried out a major operation on May 3 at the 32-Mile spot of NH-154 under the jurisdiction of Police Station Jwali.
According to Superintendent of Police Ashok Rattan, the operation led to the seizure of 1.122 kg of hashish from two individuals traveling in a Baleno car (registration number HP38-J-1001). The accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Pulgal, Tehsil Shapurkandi, District Pathankot (Punjab), and Rolit, a resident of Sutlad P O Panjahda, Tehsil Nurpur, District Kangra.
Both individuals have been arrested, and a case has been registered against them under FIR No. 47/25 dated 03/05/25 at Police Station Jwali under Sections 20 and 29 of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is underway.
SP Ashok Rattan reaffirmed the District Police’s commitment to continuing its crackdown on drug trafficking and substance abuse.
