Lyallpur Khalsa College remembers Balbir Singh on this 13th Barsi

Jalandhar: Thirteenth commemoration event in the memory of S. Balbir Singh, former President of Governing Council of College, was organized in the Gurudwara Sahib of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. After completion of the one week Path, Bhai Arwinder Singh and his team, students of the college, connected the congregation with almighty through soul soothing Kirtan. 

President Governing Council, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, Joint Secretary S. Jaspal Singh Waraich, Member Jagdeep Singh Shergill & Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra honoured Bhai Arwinder Singh and his team with Siropahs. During the event, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, her relatives and well wishers from here and foreign, staff of different Lyallpur Khalsa College institutes paid their tribute to S. Balbir Singh. 

Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra praised the personality of S. Balbir Singh and said that he did remarkable job in the fields of politics as well as education. He introduced computer courses in Lyallpur Khalsa College for the higher education of the students of Doaba region. It was his far sightedness that brought professional courses like Biotechnology and Physiotherapy in the college, so that students of Doaba and near areas could brighten their future prospects. He devoted major part of his life in the betterment of educational institutes. In the field of politics, he worked for the development of Punjab without any discrimination. That is the reason, people still remember him. During this event, the governing council managing committee, relatives, Principals, Director KCL Group and staff and students remembered his contributions. The program concluded with langar.
