Lyallpur Khalsa College Participates in Unity March
NSS volunteers of Lyallpur Khalsa College took part in the Unity March organised by the District Administration and My Bharat Office, Jalandhar, under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.
Jalandhar: NSS volunteers of Lyallpur Khalsa College took part in the Unity March organised by the District Administration and My Bharat Office, Jalandhar, under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.
Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur appreciated the volunteers’ efforts, noting that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s contribution to the unification of India after Independence is unparalleled. She added that Unity March programmes held across the country not only spread awareness about Patel’s patriotism but also inspire citizens—especially the youth—to follow his ideals of unity and universal brotherhood.
The march was flagged off by Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal. NSS Program Officer Satpal Singh stated that the march progressed peacefully and concluded at the Municipal Corporation Office, Jalandhar. He explained that the aim was to commemorate Sardar Patel’s efforts and showcase his legacy to the world.
The event was supervised by Program Officer Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Dr. Surbjit Singh, and Prof. Navneet Kaur.
