Lyallpur Khalsa College Organizes Awareness Workshop on “Entrepreneurship & Innovation” as Career Opportunities
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organized an awareness workshop on “Entrepreneurship & Innovation as Career Opportunities.”
Jalandhar, November 6, 2025: The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organized an awareness workshop on “Entrepreneurship & Innovation as Career Opportunities.”
The session aimed to inspire students to explore innovation and entrepreneurship as viable career paths. Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur and members of the IIC warmly welcomed the resource person, Charan Kamal, an entrepreneur and eminent motivational speaker.
In her opening remarks, Prof. Navdeep Kaur encouraged students to make the most of such initiatives, emphasizing that in times of limited job availability, an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset can create new opportunities and drive job generation. She expressed hope that such awareness programs would help cultivate a strong culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the college.
IIC Convenor Dr. Geetanjli Kaushal shared the vision behind establishing Institution’s Innovation Councils (IICs) in higher education institutions, highlighting their role in nurturing creativity and self-reliance among students.
Delivering his keynote address, Charan Kamal urged students to develop creative models and identify key areas where innovation can be applied effectively. He illustrated his talk with real-world examples of successful startups where innovation played a pivotal role in transforming ideas into entrepreneurial success stories.
The stage proceedings were efficiently managed by Prof. Satpal Singh, IIC Member and NSS Programme Officer. The event witnessed active participation from heads of departments, faculty members, and a large number of students.
The workshop was successfully organized under the guidance of IIC members — Dr. Navdeep Kumar, Dr. Navneet Arora, Prof. Ratnakar Mann, Dr. Manju Joshi, and Dr. Daljeet Kaur.
