Lyallpur Khalsa College Lifts University Sports Championship 13th Time

Jalandhar, April 14, 2015: Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar has captured the prestigious Teja Singh Samundari Overall Sports Trophy of Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar for 13th time. The College Principal Dr GS Samra alongwith college Dean Sports Dr.SS Bains and Head Physical Education Department Dr Jaspal Singh received the trophy in the 45th Annual Sports Prize Distribution Function of the University on Monday.

The College claimed the trophy with a total of 23163 points out of which 3538 point were for national level participation 7825 for inter-versity and 11800 points for inter-college level participation.

Speaking to the press the College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra attributed the achievements of the college in sports to the efforts of Late Balbir Singh former President College Governing Council and ex- Member Parliament. He also informed that the College had a policy of promoting sports and it offered special facilities to its sports persons –such as liberal concession in fees, free hostel and mess facility.

The College Governing Council President Balbir Kaur congratulated the sports department, staff and the students of the College on this splendid achievement.
