Lyallpur Khalsa College celebrates National Youth Day
Jalandhar, January 15, 2024: NSS units and Red Ribbon Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar celebrated National Youth Day with a series of activities related to youth and social welfare through out the week under the guidance of Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh. Principal, in his opening remarks, motivated youth to participate in the activities that promote national development and integrity. He added that youth has the potential to achieve the dream of Vikshit Bharat by 2047. He advised volunteers of NSS and members of RRC to desseminate the lessons, learnt by participating in these activities, amongst masses. Chief Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that various youth oriented activities like Declamation on 'My Bharat Vikshit Bharat', Pledge for national development, Rallies related to awareness of HIV/AIDS and blood donation were organized. Road safety week was also initiated in collaboration with NYKS in which a lecture by ASI Shamsher Singh, Traffic Education Cell, was delivered. Tshirts and caps were also distributed. A rally regarding road safety, by raising slogans to make people aware, was also organized. A live telecast of the inauguration of National Youth Festival 2024 was also shown to the gathering. It is noteworthy that 06 LKC volunteers and PO Surbjit Singh are attending National Youth Festival 2024 at Nashik Maharashtra on the invitation of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt of India.
