Lyallpur Khalsa College Cadets to Shine in Jalandhar Independence Day Parade

Jalandhar, August 13, 2025: NCC cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College have brought laurels to the institution by securing a place in the prestigious Independence Day Parade to be held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar. Six cadets from the college will proudly march in the event, marking a significant moment of honour for the institution.
The contingent will be led by Cadet Chetan Passi, a B.A. I student recognised for his exceptional discipline and leadership skills. Other participating cadets include Akash Yadav, Hardeep, Brij Lal, Jaspreet Singh, and Jashandeep Singh. Their rigorous training and preparation, guided by Naib Subedar Kuldeep Singh and Havildar Balbir Singh from 2 Punjab NCC Battalion, have ensured a high standard of performance for the ceremonial occasion.
Principal Dr. Suman Chopra expressed pride in the achievement, noting that NCC cadets of the college have consistently exemplified discipline, dedication, and patriotic spirit. She said participation in the Independence Day Parade is both an honour for the students and a matter of prestige for the college, and she wished the team the very best for a flawless performance.
Col. Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer, 2 PB NCC Battalion, commended the contribution of six cadets from the college, stating that their commitment, enthusiasm, and training reflect the true spirit of the NCC and the nation. He expressed confidence that they would make both the Battalion and the college proud.
Associate NCC Officer Dr. Karanbir Singh also congratulated the cadets, adding that their participation not only celebrates the spirit of independence but also highlights the college’s active role in fostering leadership and patriotism among the youth.
