In an effort to boost voter turnout for the upcoming Ludhiana West by-election, the district administration organized a voter awareness campaign on Tuesday at Government College for Girls, Bharat Nagar. The event aimed to inspire young voters, especially students, to actively participate in the democratic process by casting their votes on Election Day, June 19.

Ludhiana, May 27, 2025: In an effort to boost voter turnout for the upcoming Ludhiana West by-election, the district administration organized a voter awareness campaign on Tuesday at Government College for Girls, Bharat Nagar. The event aimed to inspire young voters, especially students, to actively participate in the democratic process by casting their votes on Election Day, June 19. 

Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain urged students to take responsibility for strengthening the nation’s democratic framework by exercising their voting rights. He emphasized that every single vote counts and encouraged students not only to cast their own votes but also to motivate their family, friends, and community to engage in this vital democratic exercise. He highlighted that active participation is essential for a robust democracy, empowering citizens to influence the nation’s future.

The event included engaging activities such as cultural performances and pledge-taking ceremonies to inspire students to become ambassadors of voter awareness. College authorities and local officials also participated, reinforcing the message that youth engagement is crucial for fostering a vibrant democratic culture.
