Ludhiana to be on world map with Hi-Tech Cycle valley on 378.77 Acres: Sunder Sham Arora

Chandigarh: Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Mr. Sunder Sham Arora asserted that with Hi-Tech Cycle Valley coming up on 378.77 acres of land, Ludhiana will be on the world map as cycle industry titans are establishing their units there, which would in turn generate employment opportunities for the youngsters of the state.
 
Layout plan, Change of land use (CLU), Environmental Clearance under EIA notification, RERA have also been accorded approval for the entire chunk of 378.77 acres land. The project would entail the cost of Rs. 365 crore.
 
He said that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led State Government is working diligently towards setting up such industrial projects in the State which would serve the twin purpose of being environmental friendly and providing employment avenues to the youth.
 
He informed that a 100 acre plot had been allotted to Hero Cycles Limited, Ludhiana in December, 2018 for setting up of anchor unit, on which Hero Cycles Limited has already commenced production from April, 2021 after constructing requisite manufacturing infrastructure.
 
Further 61.38 acre plot has been allotted to the Aditya Birla Group and 17 Acre Plot allotted to the JK Paper Industry. PSTCL would set up electricity Grid station of 400 KVA on the 30 acres of land for which PSTCL has taken up the development work in hand also.
 
Industries and Commerce Minister further said that the cycle valley has been connected with the Chandigarh-Ludhiana National Highway by constructing a 100 feet wide 4 lane and 8.3 KM long, external concrete road and handed over to public on 14 April, 2021.
 
Further, the internal development of Cycle Valley i.e. Construction of 33 mtr & 24 mtr wide internal Concrete roads, Storm water Drainage System, Sewerage Collection System & Effluent Collection System have been completed and other works are in progress. The basic internal development work of the Cycle Valley will be completed by Feb 28, 2022.
