Ludhiana Rural Police arrest two criminals

Ludhiana, March 11, 2018: While addressing press conference, Sh.Surjeet Singh IPS, SSP Ludhiana (Rural) told that on the directions of Sh.Kanwalpal Singh DSP Sub-Division Jagraon and under the supervision of Inderjit Singth SHO PS City Jagraon, that one Surjeet Singh resident of Village Kaonke Kalan gave statement that on 06-03-2018, at about 9.30 PM, some unknown persons causes injuries with sharp edge weapon and looted Rs.25,000 and one Mobile Phone Samsung from him.
On this statement, case FIR No.79 dated 09-03-2018 u/s 394 IPC registered at police Station City Jagraon.
Today, ASI Hakam Singh alongwith police party and also with the son of the complainant were present at Bridge canal, link road Jahar Bali-Kothe Ralhan to search the bad elements and also regarding the investigation of case FIR No.79 dated 09-03-2018 u/s 394 IPC registered at police Station City Jagraon and the police party seen two motorcycle riders coming from the Adda Raikot Jagraon side and the son of the complainant identified both the accused and after nabbing the accused, on enquiry they stated their name as Lakhbir Singh @ Beera resident of Varaich PS Sudhar and Raj Kumar @ Gora R/O Mohalla Partap Nagar Jagraon.
On search of the Lakhbir Singh one Iron Rod used in the crime recovered from him and one Dattar (sharp-edged weapon) alongwith Rs.10,000 and 06 Mobile phones recovered from Raj Kumar @ Gora R/O Mohalla Partap Nagar Jagraon.
One Motor Cycle Number PB-10 2682, Splendor Black color also recovered from the accused.
On interrogation, both the accused confessed 8 more criminal activities and also confessed that they on 09-03-2018, had beaten one Tesam Alam Khan resident of Kothe Rahlan and snatched Rs.800 and one Mobile Phone.
On this case FIR No. 83 dated 11-03-18 u/s 394 IPC registered at police Station City Jagraon.
The both accused will be produced before the court of Law and Police will try to get remand.
During preliminary investigation, the accused confessed their involvement in other cases in the district and more disclosures are likely to be made from them, said the police officer.
