Dr.G.S Wander Chief Cardiologist & Coordinator from Hero DMC Heart Institute Ludhiana being given memento during a free medical & Heart check up camp organised by Hero DMC Heart Institute in association with Mohan Lal Bhaskar Foundation at Manav Mandir Senior Secondary School, Ferozpur.
Ludhiana, December 9, 2013: A free medical & Heart check up camp was organised by Hero DMC Heart Institute in association with Mohan Lal Bhaskar Foundation at Manav Mandir Senior Secondary School, Ferozpur.
Dr.G.S Wander Chief Cardiologist & Coordinator led the team of Doctors from Hero DMC Heart Institute which Included Dr.Rohit Tandon & Examined around 250 patients in the camp.
People suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes etc. were invited to avail the benefits of the camp, Medicines and several blood tests as per doctor’s prescription were provided free of cost.
Said Dr.Wander- Organising of such free camps help the patients of all segments to avail the medical facilities at their door step & free of cost. Through these camps it is also found the ratio of people suffering from cardiac & diabetic problems in particular area. However Regular monitoring followed by relevant modifications in lifestyle or medication are needed to keep one's BP in control.
He said such camps served the purpose of creating awareness in every section of the society for taking preventive measures in time. Sedentary Life style & lack of awareness are major contributing factors which lead to many health problems which are now becoming common even in those section of society where earlier they were seen less often. Patients who are either hypertensive or diabetic have greater chances of developing undetected and serious complications. One can have a healthy lifestyle through a proper routine of exercise, healthy diet & stress management. There is no sinlge food that contain all the nutrients that our body needs, so there should be a balance diet.
