Ludhiana News/Day-2 results of 4th All India Sahibzada Ajit Singh Gold Cup Hockey Tournament

Ludhiana, December 18, 2013:    In the 4th All India Sahibzada Ajit Singh Gold Cup Hockey Tournament being played at the Astroturf of Punjab Agricultural University is organised by the Sports Council of Ludhiana. Balbir Singh Railway was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Today, on the second day of the cup, four matches were played between eight teams, and Dhanraj Pillay four times Olympian was main attraction for the audience.  
Results:
Match-1
Punjab & Sind Bank v/s Indian Air Force, the match won by Air Force by 2 - 1
First Goal scored by Air Force in the 15th minute a (field goal) by Devan and PSB equalized in the 48th minute by the stick of Karanjit (field goal) and then Air Force scored their second goal through Virender (field goal).
Match-II
Bangladesh XI V/s Namdhari XI, the match won by Bangladesh XI by 3-1
Bangladesh XI scored in 15th, 52nd and 65th minute through first goal scored by Choyon (Penalty Corner), second goal scored by Rimon Kumar (Field Goal) and third goal scored by Shahizab Zamil Bin (Field Goal) and in the 70th minute of the match Namdhari XI scored their loan goal by Bhagat Singh (Penalty Corner).
Match-III
Punjab Police V/s Indian Army, the match won by Punjab Police 2-1
First goal scored by Muthanna (Penalty Corner) for Indian Army and Varun (Penalty Corner) scored goals in the 59th and 68th, respectively for Punjab Police.
Match-IV
ONGC V/s Air India, the match won by ONGC 2-0
