Special Camp for Property Tax collection by Officials of Municipal Corporation Ludhiana being organised by Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana on Monday.
Ludhiana, November 25, 2013: Special Camp for Property Tax collection by Officials of Municipal Corporation Ludhiana has been organised by Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) from November 25 to 26 at CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana for the benefit of Industrialists of Phase I to Phase VIII, Focal Point, Ludhiana.
Avtar Singh, General Secretary and Upkar Singh, Joint Secretary CICU applauded Punjab State Government for providing Separate Category for Industrial Property and reducing the rate of Property Tax from 3.00% to 1.5% for Self Occupied Industrial Property. Manjit Singh Khalsa, Spokesman, UCPMA and Rajnish Ahuja, President, Focal Point Association thanked the State Government for revising Collector rate of Focal Point Industrial Area from Rs. 11400.00 to Rs.8200.00 per Sq.Yd. These measures have provided big relief to Industrial sector specially MSMEs, which are presently reeling under economic down turn and recession.
There is heavy rush for submission of Property Tax Returns as 272 applications have been received today from industrialists by Harvinder Singh, Tax Inspector and Gurinder Pal Singh, Tax Collector, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana. This trend is likely to continue tomorrow.
This Camp was attended by prominent industrialists such as Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma, President UCPMA, Joga Singh, O.P. Bassi, Phuman Singh, Kulwinder Singh Benipal, Ishwar Singh, T.R. Misra, Ram Labhaya, Jatinder Mittal, G.S. Kahlon and Jasbir Singh Chauhan.
