Ludhiana News/CICU organises industrial meeting with Rahul Tewari

Ludhiana, December 19, 2013: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana organised industrial meeting with Rahul Tewari, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana.

Tewari personally visited Focal Point from Phase I to Phase VIII all the roads, sewerages and street lights and the encroachments inner and outer roads which were in bad shape. He showed keen interest to develop the industrial infrastructure of Focal Point.
He also visited Industrial Area- C and noted the pitiable condition of the roads and sewerages. After inspection of road and sewerage system of the Focal Point and industrial Area –C Tewari held the meeting with captains of industries and president and the office-bearers of all industrial association of Focal Point & CII.
Tewari said that special attention will be paid to construct & repair the roads, sewerage system and all the industrial parks will be developed by the Municipal Corporation and will be handed over to the industrial associations for further maintenance at their own cost. He agreed to remove the all the illegal encroachments alongside the roads and parks. He asked the industrialists to cooperate by not throwing the sludge and garbage in the sewerage system. He said proper maintenance of industrial infrastructure will be done and ask the Senior Officials to display phone numbers for sewerage blocking and light repair in every Phase of the Focal Point.
Avtar Singh, Acting President, CICU gave a memorandum to Tewari and requested to take immediate action to remove the problems of the industry in Focal Point, Industrial Areas (A, B & C). He asked Tewari to issue NOC to the industry in the Mixed Land Use area for which he fixed another meeting to solve this problem.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, CICU asked the Commissioner to develop the parking for trolley and trucks. He also asked to provide bus services from different points of the city to Focal Point which Tewari proceeded immediately.

Rahul Ahuja, Regional Chairman of CII Punjab Chapter thanked Tewari for personally visiting the whole Focal Point and Industrial Area-C and requested to make action plan for the development of the Focal Point.
