Winners of 5th National Kaizen Competition held at Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) Complex at Ludhiana on Tuesday.
Ludhiana, December 24, 2013: National Kaizen Competition by far one of the most unique and exclusive of its kind is held at Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) Complex on Tuesday.
The event was organised 5th time by Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings, Ludhiana. Kaizen have been proved to bring quantum benefits to the company and employees whilst simplifying processes, eliminating waste, saving costs and other intangible benefits. It is a fact that the best ideas are born from the exchange and sharing of knowledge and experience, said Avtar Singh, president, CICU.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, CICU said that the objective of this Competition is to motivate for practicing KAIZEN & make it a way of life. This event provided opportunity to understand the philosophies, listen to Companies who have successfully developed Kaizen as a culture and also provided competitive Arena to witness and share the best Kaizen implemented.
S.B. Singh, Publicity Secretary CICU said that the response, to this Competition is overwhelming, both from participating teams and attending delegates, as well as Trade & Industrial bodies in the region that have been enthusiastic in their support. 25 companies, whose experienced employees presented their Kaizens in front of more than 300 audiences.
This event is sponsored by Sangeeta Steel Corporation Ludhiana Authorised Distributor of TATA Steelium-CR Sheets and Coils. Sanjay Bhatia and Ritu Bhatia from Sangeeta Steel Corporation and Jaswinder Singh Bhogal from Farm Parts Co. participated in this programme.
Three member jury comprising eminent professional’s viz. Sh. A.P. Sharma, GM Central Tool Room, B.S. Sangha, GM Institute of Auto Parts & Hand Tools Technology and Er. S.S. Grewal, HoD, LCET, Katani (Ludhiana) selected following Award Winning Teams on the basis of points under various categories.
It was a packed program, deliberating on number of continuous improvement suggestions, which will be shared for implementation at all levels relevance to stakeholders engaged in Trade & Industrial activities.
