Ludhiana, November 17, 2013: Bharat Vikas Parishad, an all India socio Cultural organisation having 1200 branches across the country has organised  39th All India National Group Song Competition dedicated to 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand Passing through its Golden Jublee Year.
The grand finale of this event has been hosted by Bharat Vikas Parishad Punjab North-District Ludhiana at Kundan Vidya Mandir School, Civil Lines, Ludhiana. Apart from many other programmes, Bharat Vikas Parishad has been organising this event under its sutra (maxim) of Sanskar since 1967. This programmeis a competition of patriotic songs for the school children to inculcate patriotism and culture in them through music. From the year 1967, this competition is being held at branch, state and National level, which has generated great interest among the students in which, lakhs of students participates every year, through which almost four lac family members are also involved. After the successful completion of State level competitions in about 55 “prants”, this year national level competition was held at Ludhiana from 15th to 17th of November 2013. Forty Five teams of various states comprising of almost 750 winner students of state level from all over India India participated in the competition and exhibited their talent in singing. All the participants stayed at Bhatrtiya Vidya Mandir School Kitchlu Nagar Ludhiana and the programme continued for three days. Cultural programme was held for the participants on November 15 from 07.00 pm to 9:30 pm to show them Punjabi culture, where in bhangra, giddha and choreography etc. was presented by the students of local schools etc. Internationally acclaimed Sitar Vadak Pandit Kushal Dass and Tabla Vadak Durjay Bhaumik from Kolkata  gave spectacular performance for the motivation of the gathering.  
The gathering gave an overview of versatile India, attended by eminent personalities Parkash Singh Badal (Chief Minister Punjab) being Chief Guest for inaugural ceremony scheduled on November 16. Arunjit Singh Miglani (Register Cooperative Societies Punjab) and Sharanjit Singh Dhillon (Punjab Minster) were the Guest of honors and Chief Guest for the closing ceremony on Sunday.
Teams from Madhya Bharat Punjab North and Delhi South Stood First, Second and Third respectively in Hindi Song competition and teams from Braj Pardesh, Punjab South and Tamil Nadu stood First Second and Third respectively in Folk song competition.
From Bharat Vikas Parishad the programme was attended and presided over by its national office bearers including Justice Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje (National President), Retd. Chief Justice  Rajasthan High Court and Former Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Satya Parkash Tiwari (National Working President), Jai Parkash Surya (vice  President & Chairman NGSC) Surinder Kumar Wadhwa (National Secretary General), K.L. Gupta (National Finance  Secretary ) and many other from the centre, zone and state including  Yashpal Gupta Dr. Jaswant Rai Kaushal and Suman Gupta Chander Sain, Vineet Garg, Sushil Sharma, Ramesh Vij, Pankaj Jindal, Madan Bassi, Neeru Chugh, Dr. Kuldeep, Neelam Gupta, R.P Gupta and others.
