Ludhiana News- Tewari gives Rs. 15.50 lac for installation of tubewell in ward No. 48

Ludhiana, September 16, 2013: Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari presented a cheque of Rs. 15.50 lac to the citizens of Ward No. 48 to setup a tubwell in Shastri Nagar, Model Town Extension through District President Pawan Dewan and PPCC Secretary Sushil Malhotra.

On this occasion, Gurdial Singh Rai, Consultant, Shastri Nagar Welfare Society, Sh. Jagmohan Singh Wadhawan, Friends Welfare Association Model Town A-Block, Kulwinder Dhingra, Block-A Welfare Association, Mewa Singh Kular, senior Congress leader, Makhan Singh Arneja, senior advocate, Harvinder Kanda, Baldev Raj, Vijay Morya, Chairman, Bhartiya Morya Sangh and Baljinder Bunty, president BCC, were present.

Dewan and Malhotra expressed satisfaction over the projects brought to Ludhiana by Tewari for the rural and urban development of the district, such as City Bus Service, Passport Office, Cleanness of Budha Naula, Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna.

Dewan and Malhotra said that there was a great need to setup a 25 HP tubewell connection in the area for making available pure drinking water to the citizens, because the already existing tubewell was out of order for last so many years. With the sanction of this tubewell connection a long standing demand of the area has been met and they assured that in future such development works would remain continue.

Before granting this tubewell’s sanction he also gave an R.O System in Government Senior Secondary Model School in Model Town to make available fresh water for the school children and they thanked Tewari granting Rs. 2 lac rupees for this project.
