Ludhiana News- PPCB member secretary Babu Ram to visit Ludhiana on September 25

Ludhiana, September 24, 2013: A delegation of United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA), Ludhiana, Effluent Treatment Society (LETs) and Ludhiana Electroplating Association on Tuesday had a meeting with member secretary of Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB), Babu Ram regarding difficulties being faced by units situated in Mix Land use Area for the renewal of their License.

PPCB member secretary was appraised about the problems as the pollution department sends them to GLADA and that Office issues a form to be filled in for this purpose and demanding Rs. 5,000 as renewal fees which was a great burden on the small units.

The delegation has also a meeting with Principal Secretary Labour Vishawjeet Khanna, IAS  who was apprised about this difficulty in detail. He gave a patient hearing to delegation and immediately had a talk with member secretary PPCB, Babu Ram to redress their problems which is very genuine as this permission is already valid up to 2018.

Babu Ram told the delegation that the Chairman of the Punjab Pollution Control Board and he himself would visit Ludhiana tomorrow and had fixed at 5.30 pm along with local officers of Punjab Pollution Control Board where the instructions would be issued for the removal of the difficulties within short time so that the industry might not suffer.

Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma, President UCPMA and others including Joginder Kumar and Manmohan Singh Ubhi were included in the delegation.
