Ludhiana News- Maur elected chairman to PAU Retires Welfare Association

Ludhiana, September 9, 2013:The PAU Retires Welfare  Association held its general body meeting here at Students Home today to discuss various issues relating to the retires.

The largely attended meeting was presided over by Jila Ram Bansal the president of the association in which the office bearers and executive council was declared.

D.P.Maur was elected Chairman, S.P.Sharma and Charanjit Singh Grewal as Senior Vice Presidents, Ajit Singh Cheema and Harbinder Singh as Vice Presidents, Satish Sood General Secretary, Birbal and Jagga Singh as Secretaries, Labh Singh and R.S.Rangila as Organising Secretary, Gurmukh Singh as Treasurer, Iqbal Singh and Tilak Singh as Joint Treasurers were elected.  

Apart from this an advisory committee was also formed which included S.S.Sharma, Jaswant Singh, J L Narang, J.C.Budhiraja, Ashok Mahindroo and Amarjeet Singh.

Roop Singh Roopa, Charan Singh Gurm, Jaswant Singh Jassi and A S Deol were taken as patrons. 

Speaking on the occasion various speakers showed their commitment for the association and criticised the government and  the authorities concerned for non-payment of long pending arrears on account of revision of pay scales, revision of pension, revision of gratuity and old age pension.
